If you are staying in Kamala Beach in Phuket, Thailand, and you want to use the cheaper public transport, then you will be happy to know that the Public Bus, goes part Surin Beach on the way to Phuket Old Town. This means you can visit the neighbouring beach for only 20THB.
Surin Beach looked quieter and smaller than Kamala Beach as a destination, so I was glad I was not staying there.
Lunch at D Restaurant Surin Beach
I saw that D Restaurant was recommended, so I thought I would try it. It was one of the more expensive restaurants I ate in, but the food was fantastic.
The prawns were huge! And only 180THB. And I’ve become quite fond of the Thai Iced Milk Tea.
Surin Beach Phuket
Being low season, the weather was unpredictable, and on this occasion, it was not safe to swim.
So it was back to Kamala Beach for a massage.
Home Massage
This place was recommended for a massage, and the massage was excellent! Great price too at 300THB
My final dinner was at another restaurant recommended online (I wasn’t taking many chances on my last day).
Intouch Cafe and Restaurant Kamala Beach
Maybe I should have ordered a Thai dish, because the pasta I had was not great. The seafood was tasty and fresh, but the “pasta sauce” was not pasta sauce and more like tomato ketchup.
But I did find the bears in the corner very funny…
Market Pancakes and Fruit
A new edition to Kamala Beach on the weekends were these small market stalls, selling banana pancakes and fresh fruit.
Not that cheap, but the taste was amazing…
